Phil Lawless Scholarship

The Phil Lawless Scholarship is offered to honour the memory of a wonderful artist and friend, Mr. Phil Lawless who had devoted his free time to designing, creating and building sets for our Productions of the Nutcracker, Giselle, and Coppelia. This most cherished scholarship is awarded annually to worthy students who demonstrate the necessary artistic and technical potential to pursue ballet and contemporary dance as a career choice, and who demonstrate the consistent commitment and work ethic necessary to succeed on the international ballet stage. This scholarship is offered by Linda Jamieson and Ellen Andrews in the form of free training, coaching and choreography in preparation for the annual Youth America Grand Prix International Ballet Competition held in Chicago for the Regional Competition and New York City for the Finals.

This year’s recipients of the Phil Lawless Scholarship are:

Anika Burghout, Robyn Crutchlow, Emily Eaton, Anne Fagnan,
Samantha Gaitens, Caleigh Garbut, Hailey German, Larissa Gerszke,
